Candle Care Guide
Follow these simple steps to get the most out of your candles
First Burn
Allow your candle to burn for 2-4 hours on the first use to create an even wax pool across the entire surface. This prevents tunneling and ensures maximum burn time.
Trim the Wick
Before each use, trim the wick to 1/4 inch. This prevents smoking, reduces soot, and helps your candle burn evenly and safely for longer.
Burn Time
Never burn your candle for more than 4 hours at a time. Allow it to cool completely before relighting to prevent overheating and extend its life.
Safe Placement
Place your candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from drafts, children, pets, and flammable materials. Keep at least 3 inches between candles.
Extinguish Safely
Use a candle snuffer or gently blow out the flame. Avoid using the lid to extinguish as this can cause smoking and damage the wick.
Storage
Store your candles in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Keep the lid on when not in use to preserve the fragrance and protect from dust.
Essential Information
- On your first burn, you MAY experience a low flame around 15 minutes. Dont worry- If this occurs, allow candle to burn for 30 minutes, extinguish, let the wax pool harden completely (may take 45 minutes to 1 hour) trim and re-light. This is due to potential flooding from fragrance oil and mica powder, and requires a soft burn first to allow enough fuel to provide a stronger flame.
- Our christmas candles have a beautiful sparkly glitter in the wax pool- to ensure it stays clean, after your burn session, DO NOT trim the wick when wax is melted. The ash from the wooden wick will land in the pool and set inside, creating a dirty appearance every time its re-melted. extinguish, let candle completely set with the lid on, and trim just before your next burn. If any ash falls, gently blow away ash and light.
- If the flame is too high, extinguish the flame, let the wax cool completely and trim to 4-5mm. If you do not have a wick trimmer, you can use nail clippers or your fingers to pinch the charred top.
- The vessel will be HOT after 45 mins - 1 hour of burning. Do NOT grab the jar or touch with fingers after 45 mins -1 hour burn time.
- Never leave a burning candle unattended, within reach of children or pets and near heating. Ensure you are burning in a well- ventilated area and away from any hazards.
